Notes on Pizza Toppings
Not a recipe, per se, rather a list of good pizza toppings and experience
reports.
- Basil: Makes a great topping, but very likely to burn. Place
shredded or whole leaves on top of pizza immediately after removing
from oven.
- Mushrooms: Precook by sauteing on the stove with kosher salt, olive
oil and, optionally, rosemary. Sprinkle pizza with with truffle oil for
extra mushroom flavor.
- Artichokes: Canned artichoke hearts are fine. No precooking necessary.
